Canada took its first loss at the world lacrosse championships Sunday, falling 11-10 to the United States.
Ryan Brown scored three goals and Matthew Danowski added two more for the U.S., which improved to 3-0 at the tournament.
Jeffrey Teat led the Canadians (2-1) with three goals and Ben McIntosh had two goals and a helper.
Teat has a team-leading 16 points, including seven goals.
Canada started the tournament with back-to-back wins over England Friday and Scotland Saturday.
Canada plays Iroquois Nation on Monday while the U.S. takes on Scotland.
