The Toronto Arrows defeated the Houston SaberCats 35-21 on Sunday afternoon for their first home victory of the Major League Rugby season.

Kainoa Lloyd, Mike Sheppard, Theo Sauder, Andrew Quattrin and Kolby Francis scored tries for the host side at York Alumni Stadium.

Toronto led 21-0 after 29 minutes, but Pat O’Toole and Zachary Pangelinan cut into the lead with tries for the SaberCats later in the half.

Houston pulled even on a penalty try in the 45th minute before Sheppard put the Arrows ahead to stay in the 52nd minute.

Toronto improved to 5-5-0 while Houston fell to 2-8-0.
