The Toronto Blue Jays optioned left-hander Thomas Pannone to Triple-A Buffalo on Thursday.

A corresponding roster move will be made before Friday’s game against the Chicago White Sox, the team said.

Pannone allowed two hits and walked a batter over one inning of relief in a 9-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night.

He made two starts over 13 appearances for the Blue Jays this season, posting a 1-3 record and 7.40 earned-run average.

Toronto (15-22) has dropped five games in a row.
