The Toronto Blue Jays are going back to Montreal .

The American League club is set to announce during a news conference on Tuesday that they will play two preseason games against the Cincinnati Reds on April 3rd and 4th at Olympic Stadium.

Team president and chief executive officer Paul Beeston along with Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos are slated to be in Montreal for the announcement.

The Blue Jays played two exhibition games against the New York Mets at Olympic Stadium last March and the games were an overwhelming success, drawing a total of close to 100,000 fans for both contests.

Montreal used to be home to the Expos who moved to Washington at the conclusion of the 2004 Major League Baseball season.

There has been talk, mostly out of Montreal, about trying to gain a new MLB franchise for the city. Supporters of that idea point to the excitement that those games have generated as proof that the city deserves a new team.

Playing the Reds should help whip up even greater interest as they feature Toronto native Joey Votto as one of their star players.
