Adeiny Hechavarria has come as advertised: a player that some scouts will tell you is the best defensive shortstop in the game at any level.

The Toronto Blue Jays sent out their Cuban shortstop and highly touted prospect on Wednesday ahead of a Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees in order to increase his workload in minor league camp but it's safe to say that he showed enough offensive ability at the Major League camp.

Hechavarria will not be called up the rest of the spring. The Blue Jays want him to get in a regular routine and play some second base ahead of joining the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s.

The next time Blue Jays fans see Hechavarria, it will be in the majors.
