The Toronto Argonauts signed former NFL defensive back Matt Ware on Thursday.

Ware spent eight seasons in the NFL with Philadelphia and Arizona. The Eagles selected him in the third round, No. 89 overall, of the 2004 NFL draft out of UCLA.

Ware was a two-sport athlete in college and played two seasons of minor-league baseball with the Seattle Mariners' organization.

Toronto also signed defensive linemen Ezra Butler and Logan Harrell as well as defensive back Brandon Underwood.

Butler attended the New Orleans Saints training camp in 2011. Harrell spent time with the NFL's San Diego Chargers while Underwood appeared in 23 games over two seasons with Green Bay (2009-'10) while also suiting up for the Oakland Raiders and Dallas Cowboys.
