Defensive back Dwight Anderson is joining the Toronto Argonauts following a trade with SaskatchewanLiam Richards/The Canadian Press

The Toronto Argonauts have acquired international defensive back Dwight Anderson from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in exchange for a conditional pick in the 2015 CFL Draft.

Anderson has won two Grey Cup championships with Calgary (2008) and Saskatchewan (2103). He has been named a CFL all-star twice and a divisional all-star four times.

In eight CFL seasons with Hamilton, Calgary, Montreal and Saskatchewan, the native of Spanish Town, Jamaica has amassed 343 defensive tackles, 19 interceptions, four (interception return touchdowns, seven fumble recoveries, one sack and 11 special teams tackles.

"Dwight Anderson is a veteran player who can help our team immediately," Argos general manager Jim Barker said in a statement. "He's a competitor who has won two Grey Cup championships and has been recognized as an all-star on multiple occasions in our league."

Prior to playing in the CFL, Anderson spent time with the St. Louis Rams and the Carolina Panthers of the NFL and the Philadelphia Soul of the AFL. He played in three NFL games for the Rams, amassing five tackles.
