The No. 1-ranked Laval Rouge et Or moved a step closer to another shot at the Vanier Cup on Saturday.

The defending champions downed the Montreal Carabins 30-7 in Quebec City to win their ninth consecutive Dunsmore Cup.

Running back Sebastien Levesque was a dominant force, amassing 208 yards, including two touchdowns on runs of 41 and 85 yards.

It was Rouge et Or's 51st straight win at home since 2004.

Carabins quarterback Alexandre Nadeau-Piuze managed the only touchdown for his side.

The Rouge et Or will square off against the No. 2-ranked Calgary Dinos in the Mitchell Bowl next Friday.

The Dinos moved on after a convincing 62-13 win over the UBC Thunderbirds in the Hardy Cup on Friday.

The winner of the Mitchell Bowl will qualify for the Vanier Cup at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on Nov. 25.
