Nick Taylor climbed 66 spots in the world rankings following his tie for ninth at the first Web.com Tour Finals event. It was the third top-10 finish of the season for the Abbotsford, B.C. player and second in the last four tournaments for the No. 8th ranked golfer in Canada. The result moved him inside the top 50 of the post-season money list which puts him in line for a PGA Tour card next year.

Outside the top 10, Michael Gligic made one of the biggest moves, vaulting 333 spots after losing in a four hole playoff at PGA Tour Canada’s Wildfire Invitational. It was the second top-5 result in as many events for the Burlington, Ont. golfer, who moved from 23rd in Canada up to No. 12. Gligic is the highest ranked Canadian on the Tour’s money list, moving up to No. 11 with two events remaining. Having already secured exempt status on PGA Tour Canada for next year, he’s just under $10,000 behind fifth place which would earn him status on the Web.com Tour next year.

Jennifer Kirby of Paris, Ont. climbed 12 spots in the world rankings after finishing in a tie for 52nd at the LPGA’s Portland Classic. It was her third straight weekend finish, moving her up to 109th on the money list. Kirby is almost $53,000 outside the top 80 which is what the Tour rookie needs to achieve in order to avoid going back to Q-School this fall.

On the amateur side, Augusta James of Bath, Ont. moved up one spot in the Canadian rankings to No. 2, displacing SooBin Kim who had held that spot since the beginning of the year.
