Kinderlou Forest Golf Club - Valdosta, CA (top 21 and ties advance)

Will Mitchell of Pickering, Ont., fired an opening round 5-under 67 to lead the Q-School qualifier in California. Mitchell, had a hole-in-one during a practice round Sunday ahead of this week's qualifier, played an error free back nine which saw him pick up five of his seven birdies including four in a row starting at No. 14. "My 67 is my best first round in a Q-School," Mitchell wrote on his website. "Hopefully I can keep the momentum rolling with three more solid rounds."

Calgary's James Love also got off to a good start on Wednesday with a round of 69 which leaves him tied for 5th.

Scott Hawley of Ottawa is tied for 65th after shooting 77 while Matt Hoffman of Thornhill, Ont., is tied for 70th after carding a 78.

Oak Valley Golf Club - Beaumont, CA (top 23 and ties advance)

Isabelle Beisiegel's latest Q-School attempt got off to a shaky start. The St. Hilaire, Quebec golfer, who earned a Canadian Tour card earlier this year, struggled to an opening round 77 which included just one birdie, two bogeys and back-to-back double bogeys on Nos. 16 and 17. That leaves her tied for 74th.

Lindsay Wilson of Montreal is tied for 6th after shooting 68. He had an eagle, four birdies and a bogey.

Regina's Kent Eger is tied for 31st after a round of 71. Mitch Evanecz of Red Deer, Alta. is tied for 38th after opening with a 72 along with Ryan Williams of Surrey, B.C. Mitch Gillis of Williams Lake, B.C. is tied for 59th after a round of 73.

PGA Golf Club, Wanamaker Course - Port St. Lucie, FL (top 22 and ties advance)

Toronto's Peter Laws shot a bogey free round of 5-under 67 to sit in a tie for 4th after the opening round. Matthew Richardson of Woodbridge, Ont., is tied for 13th after shooting 69 while Jerome Blais of Sherbrooke, Quebec is tied for 20th after posting a 70.

Ben Silverman of Thornhill, Ont., is tied for 44th as is David Markle of Shelburne, Ont. after both opened with 73s. Robbie Greenwell of Georgetown, Ont., is tied for 56th after a round of 74.

Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst-Magnolia - Pinehurst, NC (top 22 and ties advance)

Richard Scott of Kingsville, Ont. moved up into third after a round of 68 which included six birdies and two bogeys. Going the other direction was Brad Fritsch of Ottawa, who slipped down into a tie for 15th after shooting a second round 74. Fritsch opened with three bogeys over his first five holes and made the turn in 4-over before recovering on the front nine with a birdie and an eagle.

Yahann Benson (75) of Montreal is tied for 36th while Danny King (76) of Milton, Ont. is tied for 57th.

Lantana Golf Club - Lantana, TX (top 23 and ties advance)

Roger Sloan of Merritt, B.C. is tied for 11th after posting a round of 70 while Dustin Risdon of Strathmore, Alta., carded five birdies and two bogeys in a round of 69 to move him up into a tie for 13th.

Devin Carrey (74) of Surrey, B.C. is tied for 42nd, Calgary's Jamie Kureluk (73) and Vancouver's Bryn Parry (75) are both tied for 52nd while Adam Cornelson (75) of Vancouver is 71st.

St. Johns Golf & Country Club - St Augustine, FL (top 22 and ties advance)

Matt Hill of Brights Grove, Ont., had five birdies and a bogey for a second round 68 which moved him up into a tie for 20th.

Louis-Pierre Godin of Trois-Rivieres also improved with a bogey-free round of 68 to climb into a tie for 25th. Alan McLean (73) of London, Ont. slipped into a tie for 42nd while Craig Hicks (76) of Tecumseh, Ont., is tied for 58th. Vincent Dumouchel (73) of Trois-Rivieres, Que., the reigning PGA of Canada champion, sits in a tie for 69th.

San Juan Oaks Golf Club - Hollister, CA (top 22 and ties advance)

James Allenby of Langley, B.C., carded a second round 72 which dropped him into a tie for 22nd while Nick Taylor of Abbotsford, B.C. also slipped down the leaderboard into a tie for 32nd after a round of 72.

Darren Wallace (71) of Langley, B.C., is tied for 49th while Jace Walker (74) of St. Thomas, Ont., is tied for 67th.
