It looks like you can only talk about dirty text messages and secret rendezvous with Playboy models for so long. After so many months of obsessing over the sex scandal that has followed Tiger Woods since November, the world finally seems to have moved on. At least the Twittersphere has.

The social networking site is still buzzing with Tiger talk, but very little of it has to do with his sex life. Yesterday afternoon, Tiger wasn't even one of the top ten trending topics in Canada on the site. Considering that the topic "Nouns" cracked the top 10 (Scrabble nerds, unite! http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2010/apr/06/scrabble-chess-monopoly-blame) along with HST and QEW, the latter of which revolved around tepid discussions of a highway, it's safe to say we're no longer titillated by Tiger's affairs.

Tiger even failed to reach the top 10 on Twitter in the U.S., which says a lot when you take in to account the fact that less-than-sexy topics like "Confederate History Month" and "Nuclear Posture Review" did.

The vast majority of people talking about Tiger on Twitter yesterday were more interested in the latest news regarding the golfer than what he likes to do when he's naked. Several posters noted that record TV audiences are expected to watch Tiger at the Masters this week, while plenty of others discussed Tiger's pairing with Matt Kuchar and K.J. Choi on Thursday.

Some people even came to Tiger's defence. "Why can't people leave tiger woods alone?" wrote ducksoup_.

Of course, some people are still making Tiger-related jokes.

"Damn I'm outside sweatin like tiger woods at a hooters," wrote Jwhyte85.

But those sorts of jokes were few and far between on Twitter. Maybe if anyone them were actually funny there might be more. As it is, the Twittersphere looks to be tired of Tiger sex talk.

Has scandal fatigue finally set in? Are most of us glad to stop talking about Tiger's sex life? Or is it just that there haven't been any new details from the scandal for gossip mongers to feed on?

It's going to be interesting to see if the gossip machine goes back in to full gear tomorrow when the new issue of Vanity Fair with what promises to be a juicy expose of Tiger's affairs hits news stands.
