David Backes had two goals and an assist to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 3-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Monday night.

Vladimir Tarasenko added a goal and an assist to help St. Louis snap a two-game skid. Jake Allen made 16 saves and Kevin Shattenkirk added two assists.

Blues coach Ken Hitchcock moved Backes up to the first line with wingers Tarasenko and Alexander Steen on Monday and the trio accounted for three goals and three assists.

Dustin Byfuglien and Bryan Little scored and Michael Hutchinson finished with 25 saves for the Jets, who have lost five straight.
