Columbus Blue Jackets forward Ryan Johansen has been named the NHL's first star of the week after putting up four points in front of his home fans at Sunday's NHL all-star game.

Johansen scored two goals and added two assists at the showcase event as his team, captained by Blue Jackets linemate Nick Foligno, fell 17-12 to a team led by Chicago's Jonathan Toews.

Johansen was named the game's most valuable player via a Twitter vote.

He was held without a point in the Blue Jackets' two games earlier in the week, ending his franchise-record point streak at 13 games.

Ottawa Senators defenceman Erik Karlsson took the second star award with three goals in two games.

Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise also had three goals in two games last week and took third-star honours.
