Connor Brown scored twice and set up two more as the Erie Otters downed the visiting Peterborough Petes 6-3 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
The Toronto Maple Leafs prospect now has 10 goals in his last seven outings and leads Erie with 16 goals and 25 points in 19 games.
Connor McDavid had two goals and an assist for the Otters (5-11-3), who halted their five-game losing streak, while Anthony Cortellessa and Adam Pelech scored a goal apiece.
Chase Hatcher, Greg Betzold and Alan Quine scored for the Petes (4-12-3), who have now dropped five straight contests.
Oscar Dansk stopped 41-of-44 shots for the win while Peterborough’s Andrew D’Agostini allowed three goals on 13 shots before getting pulled early in the second period. Michael Giugovaz stopped 11-of-13 shots in relief.
Erie went 1 for 3 on the power play while Peterborough failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.

At Erie, Pa., Quine opened the scoring just 13 seconds into the first period and Hatcher put Peterborough up 2-0 by the 5:31 mark.
McDavid responded for the Otters with a short-handed goal at 8:24 and Pelech added another goal while down a man at 16:10 to make it 2-2 after 20 minutes of play.
Brown and Cortellessa scored seven minutes apart in the second period to give Erie a 4-2 lead heading into the final period.
Brown gave his squad a three-goal lead with a power-play goal 7:47 into the third.
Betzhold got one back for Peterborough at 10:35, but McDavid scored into an empty net in the final minute to secure an Otters’ win.
