Winnipeg Jets defenceman Dustin Byfuglien is the NHL's first star of the week.

Byfuglien, 29, had three goals and three assists in helping Winnipeg win all four of its games last week. Byfuglien has 12 goals and 19 assists over 47 games this season.

Detroit's Tomas Tatar is the second star of the week, registering five goals and two assists in leading the Red Wings to four straight victories. The 24-year-old native of Ilava, Slovakia, has 21 goals in 46 contests this season.

Forward Kyle Okposo of the New York Islanders claimed the third star. He had five goals and an assist as the Islanders earned four of a possible six points from their three games.
