The Winnipeg Jets acquired forward Kenndal McArdle from the Florida Panthers on Saturday.

In return, the Jets sent prospect centre Angelo Esposito to the Panthers.

McArdle, 24, scored once and had two assists in 33 games with Florida after the Panthers drafted him 20th overall in 2005.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder had 14 goals and 12 assists with the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans last season.

Esposito, 22, has yet to play an NHL game since Pittsburgh drafted him 20th overall in 2007.

The six-foot, 190-pound centre had three goals and 10 assists in 57 games last season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves.
