We're busy preparing for our Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage here at globesports.com, so Leafs Beat will be updated sparingly after the players clean out their lockers and general manager Brian Burke meets with the media on Monday.

Mirtle will be writing in this space on Saturday's game against the Canadiens and will be handling post-mortem duties Monday. We've also called on some special guests to join us for a Hockey Roundtable podcast on the Maple Leafs that will be posted here Monday morning.

Starting Tuesday, we shift into postseason mode, with Mirtle and the rest of our puck writers blogging at Globe on Hockey. With the Vancouver Canucks looking like the best team in the NHL, it could be a pretty special spring.

In case it gets lost in the shuffle Monday, thanks to everyone who has taken the time to stop by Leafs Beat, or drop us a line on the blog during our inaugural season. The Leafs stir an unbelievable amount of emotion from our readers, and the plan is to get right back at it once the Cup has been raised.

Mirtle will have something from practice later today. Until then, the links:

Burke meets with Toronto Star Leaf blogger Vinay Menon to talk about the season that was.

Lance Hornby at the Toronto Sun says Jean-Seabstien Giguere will be going under the knife later this month.

Michael Traikos at the National Post lists seven players the Leafs can build on.

Craig Schroter covers Lady Gaga and drops a new anthem for Leaf Nation.

Jon at Puckin' Eh on Tyler Bozak and his contract.

Daniel Santos at Maple Leafs Hot Stove on what the 2011-12 Maple Leafs should look like.

It has been a stellar regular season for Down Goes Brown. Here's a list of do's and don'ts for courteous hockey fans at playoff time.
