It feels good to say the Maple Leafs have a busy week ahead, with four games in the next seven nights.

Having an entire week off might have been great for team building, but it sure created some limited storylines. In case you missed it, seventh defenceman Cody Franson was not happy he didn't get to play in the first two games and head coach Ron Wilson wasn't happy that Franson told the media just how frustrated he was. I know there are hopes Franson can be a solid addition to the blueline in Toronto, but I'm not sure the story of him sitting in the press box for the first weekend of the season deserved the ink and air time it received for the better part of the week.

Thank goodness the team is back in action tonight against the Avalanche (7 p.m. Sportsnet Ontario). The Colorados are another young team off to a fine start, so we could have a pretty entertaining match on our hands.
