The Leafs get back to work today, trying to formulate some sort of game plan that will result in a win over the Sabres in Buffalo on Friday night.

As previously mentioned in this space, the Sabres have absolutely owned the Leafs in recent years, including a 3-2 shootout loss earlier this month that saw the Leafs blow a two-goal lead at home.

One promising sign for fans of the blue and white: the Sabres have been hit by a plague of groin injuries.

Mirtle is at the Leaf practice and will write this afternoon. The early news is winger Luca Caputi has been sent down to the Marlies.
