While the Winnipeg Jets had their first winning streak of the season come to an end at a mere two games on Saturday, their points streak remained intact. The Jets battled back from two goals down in the third period to force overtime in New Jersey, giving them points in three straight and a total of seven points in five games during their current road trip. Getting away from the raucous crowds of central Canada seems to have relieved some of the early pressure on the team in its new home. The New York Rangers are the next stop on Winnipeg's seven-game tour on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. The Rangers took the first meeting between the teams 2-1 on Oct. 24. Martin Biron, who got the win in the first meeting, will likely get the nod again for New York on Sunday after Henrik Lundqvist made his 10th start in Saturday's 5-3 victory over Montreal.

ABOUT THE JETS (5-7-1): Winnipeg could not figure out a way to solve Martin Brodeur until late Saturday, when Mark Flood scored and Jim Slater tied it with less than three minutes remaining. Unfortunately, Ondrej Pavelec could not make a save on a breakaway in overtime, denying the Jets of their first three-game winning streak. On the positive side, Winnipeg has not allowed a goal on the penalty kill in back-to-back games for the first time this season.

2. Evander Kane has six points in the last five games for Winnipeg.

3. New York center Brad Richards has 53 points in 47 career games against the Jets franchise.

PREDICTION: Rangers 3, Jets 2. New York has found scoring combinations that work and is getting help from the blue line as well.
