Report: Shane Doan to hold talks with Canadiens

TSN is reporting that veteran free agent forward Shane Doan will hold talks with the Montreal Canadiens next week.

The Montreal Canadiens are preparing to make a pitch to free agent forward Shane Doan, sports broadcaster TSN is reporting.

The 35-year-old forward has already held talks with the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers and is expected to visit Montreal next week according to multiple media reports.

Doan, an unrestricted free agent, has just completed a five-year, $22.8-million contract with the Phoenix Coyotes and maintains the Western Conference club remains his first choice.
