Canada tied England 13-13 to secure a semifinal berth at the women's rugby World Cup on Saturday.

Karen Paquin of Quebec City and Kayla Mack of Saskatoon had the tries for Canada while Magali Harvey of Quebec City added a penalty. The Canadian squad will face France in semifinal action Aug. 13.

England will face Ireland in the other semifinal.

The English and Canadians finished with identical 2-1 records in Pool A but England got the nod based upon a better points differential.

Emily Scarratt's penalty earned England a 6-5 half-time advantage.

Canada went ahead 10-6 on Mack's try before English captain Sarah Hunter scored a try that Scarratt converted to put England ahead 13-10. But Harvey tied the contest with a late penalty.
