Veteran rider Ian Millar and the late show jumping horse Hickstead will be inducted into the Jump Canada Hall of Fame in November.
Jump Canada is the arm of Equine Canada that oversees show jumping in Canada.
Millar, from Perth, Ont., became the first athlete from any country to compete in the Olympic Games 10 times when he and Star Power contested the individual and team events in London last month.
Millar, 65, will be inducted as a builder. He won a team silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Jump Canada usually inducts athletes after they have retired, but an exception was made in Millar's case, according to a release issued Tuesday.
Millar said in London if Star Power was willing to continue, he wants to ride again for Canada in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Hickstead was Eric Lamaze's mount in Beijing, where they won individual gold and team silver. They also achieved a No. 1 world ranking after the Games.
But at the height of his career, Hickstead died suddenly during competition on Nov. 6 of last year. An autopsy determined the cause was heart failure due to an aortic rupture.
Lamaze, from Schomberg, Que., competed in London on a young horse named Derly Chin de Muze.
Both Millar and Hickstead will be inducted at a gala Nov. 4 in Toronto.
