Manitoba's Rob Fowler won the bronze medal at the Canadian men's curling championship with an 8-7 win in an extra end over Jamie Koe of Yukon and Northwest Territories.
Alberta's Kevin Koe — Jamie's brother — and Ontario's Glenn Howard were to meet in the championship game at the Tim Hortons Brier later Sunday.
Fowler skipped Manitoba at the event for the first time in his career.
He'd won silver and bronze playing second for Jeff Stoughton in 2009 and 2007 respectively.
Fowler had finished the round-robin as the second seed but lost two straight playoff matches to settle for a spot in the third-place game.
It was the first time a Territories team qualified since playoffs were introduced into the format in 1980.
