Sydney Pickrem finished sixth in the women's 200m individual medley Tuesday night.
Hungary's Katrinka Hosszu took home the gold medal in the event.
Pickrem is a dual Canadian-American citizen born in Florida with parents from Halifax, Nova Scotia. She reached the podium in both individual medleys at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, taking silver in the 400m IM and the bronze in the 200m IM.
Pickrem finished 12th in the 400m IM in Rio earlier this week.
Pickrem's performance is the latest in a series of formidable finishes by Canadians in the pool. Earlier Tuesday, Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion won gold in the 10m synchronized platform diving. Canada's Kylie Masse won bronze in the 100-metre backstroke Monday, while Penny Oleksiak won silver Sunday.
