Former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Steve Rodehutskors, a two-time Grey Cup champion, died on Thursday of cancer. He was 44. Rodehutskors played football at the University of Calgary, where he was a member of the Dinos' 1985 Vanier Cup championship team. Although he played on the offensive line for the Dinos, Rodehutskors had no previous football experience. He was a high-school basketball player when asked to try out for the U of C football team. Rodehutskors also played for the B.C. Lions and Toronto Argonauts before retiring from the CFL in 1994. After football, he became a veterinarian. He leaves his wife and three children.
