The Winnipeg Jets signed free-agent goaltender Laurent Brossoit to a one-year contract on Sunday.

The deal will pay Brossoit US$650,000.

Brossoit played 14 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season, posting a 3-7-1 record. He also played 29 games for the American Hockey League’s Bakersfield Condors, where he went 15-10-1 with a 2.68 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

Brossoit has played 28 career NHL games and has a 7-13-2 record with a 2.97 GAA.

Brossoit was selected by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Draft.
