Tiger Woods will return to golf this month and compete in the Accenture Match Play Championships, the Herald Sun in Melbourne, Australia, reports.

The newspaper's only source, however, was "strengthening whispers." The Arizona Daily Star reported tournament officials have no information on Woods's possible participation.

The World Golf Championship event begins Feb. 17 at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain near Tucson, Ariz.

The world No. 1 has been on an indefinite leave as he attempts to patch up his marriage, which was shaken after he admitted to infidelity last year. He was reportedly last seen in a Mississippi clinic that treats sex addiction.

Woods used the same match-play event as his comeback tournament last year when he returned from an eight-month injury break. He finished in a tie for 17th, then went on to win six PGA Tour events in 2009.

He won the tournament in 2003, 2004 and 2008.
