Rapper Eminem and the addictive " Angry Birds" iPhone app topped iTunes' Canadian charts in 2010, while a charity single and album for Haiti relief efforts, and "The Suburbs" by Montreal band Arcade Fire were also among the best sellers.

Eminem's "Love the Way You Lie" was the best-selling single of the year, followed by "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz, "California Gurls" by Katy Perry, "Break Your Heart" by Taio Cruz and Ludacris and "Airplanes" by B.o.B.

Rounding out the list was "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train, "Wavin' Flag" by Young Artists for Haiti, Eminem's "Not Afraid," "OMG" by Usher, and "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry. In the U.S., Train took top spot.

The top-selling album was Eminem's "Recovery," followed by the compilation "Hope for Haiti Now," "The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire, "Animal" by Ke$ha, "The Fame" by Lady Gaga, "Sigh No More" by Mumford & Sons and "Speak Now" by Taylor Swift.

Further down the list, Justin Bieber's "My World 2.0" came in at No. 12, Drake's "Thank Me Later" was No. 15, Sarah McLachlan's "Laws of Illusion" was No. 16, and Hedley's "The Show Must Go" was No. 17.

Eminem was also the best seller in the U.S. and Drake did better on the U.S. list, placing sixth.

Apple did not disclose specific sales figures.

The hit game "Angry Birds" was the top paid iPhone app, the limited version was second on the free app chart, and it was also the third most popular iPad app to buy.

The game's maker, Rovio, said recently that the game has been purchased more than 12 million times since going on sale in December 2009, and the free versions have been downloaded more than 30 million times.

Ebook readers snapped up "iBooks," making it the most popular free iPad app, followed by "Google Mobile App," "Movies by Flixter," "Solitaire," and "Google Earth."

The top paid iPad apps were Apple's word processor "Pages," "GoodReader," "Numbers," and "Living Earth HD – World Clock and Weather."

The Top 5 movies, including purchases and rentals, were: "The Blind Side," "Sherlock Holmes," "Avatar," "The Hangover (Unrated)" and "Date Night."

The top TV purchases were: "Glee, Season 2," "Mad Men, Season 4," "The Walking Dead, Season 1," "Lost, Season 6" and "Modern Family, Season 1."
