QUESTION: Please please help, my start icon which has shut down, run, etc etc, gone vanished is there something I can tick untick to get it back. I've dragged all over the desktop. Also, my taskbar is missing but I don't need that but I do need the START. Rush I'm 73 and a new operator and if I have to ask family again I;m sure they will take it away.

ANSWER: It sounds like you've dragged your taskbar down to a size of 0 by accident. Hover your cursor down near the bottom of the screen until you get a resize cursor and then click and drag up on your screen. The taskbar should resize and be visable again (including your start menu).
