Canada's lone remaining Major League Baseball franchise was founded in 1977 and plays in the American League East. Currently owned by Rogers Communications, the team won back-to-back World Series championships in 1992 and 1993. In 2011, former second baseman Roberto Alomar became the first player to be inducted into the Hall of Fame based primarily on his time with the Blue Jays.
