Q&A: Ask legendary index fund pioneer John Bogle how to invest right now

For this week's live discussion at Inside the Market, we were joined by one of the true legends of the investing world: John Bogle.

Mr. Bogle is the founder of The Vanguard Group, the largest mutual fund company in the world, and is the creator of the world's first index mutual fund.

A champion of indexing, he is the author of nine books, including the best-selling classic Common Sense on Mutual Funds: New Imperatives for the Intelligent Investor. He has frequently argued that the investing industry, especially mutual funds, have lost their focus on long-term wealth generation for clients in pursuit of short-term profit for themselves. He stresses the importance of having a long-term strategy and believes it's important that investors avoid actively managed funds.
