Manitoba has selected the ancient sea creature Mosasaur as its new fossil emblem. The carnivorous Mosasaur, nicknamed 'T-Rex of the Sea', lived between 65 million and 135 million years ago. It hunted in the Western Interior Seaway that covered much of Manitoba during the Cretaceous Period.
