A look at some of the buildings designed by Japan’s Shigeru Ban. Ban was named the winner of the Pritzker Prize, an annual award that is often called architecture’s Nobel, this week. He is best known for humanitarian work: building shelters for disaster victims and temporary structures – like the Cardboard Cathedral for Christchurch, New Zealand.
