Video: Remembering Frances Kelsey, the doctor who saved America from thalidomide

Frances Kelsey was the medical officer who refused to approve Thalidomide, insisting that testing was incomplete. Kelsey is credited with saving families in the United States from having children born with deformities. That wasn't the case in Canada. Kelsey, 101, died August 7, 2015.
