Iggy Pop’s BBC Music John Peel Lecture- The annual John Peel Lecture features a “notable figure from the music industry” and this year it saw legendary punk Iggy Pop give a talk on “free music in a capitalist society.” Even if you’ve never heard a Stooges record, it’s worth listening to. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1- The penultimate movie in the franchise doesn’t come out until next month, but a new trailer is sure to stoke fan interest. When Katniss sees what those jerks at the Capitol did to District 12 she is going to be so angry. (youtube.com)
