Every David Foster Wallace fan is worried about Jason Segel’s portrayal of the Infinite Jest novelist in this adaptation of the David Lipsky book about the author. Based on the trailer, Segel seems to have avoided the huge potential for turning in a terrible impersonation.

Stories about aliens invading the Earth are always to be approached with caution, because more often than not they’re cheesy and downright awful. But this one has an impressive pedigree. It’s based on a Ray Bradbury short story and has Steven Spielberg as executive producer. Premiere is Monday.
