Simoniz Premium Glass Towels

What was the last thing that went through the wasp's mind as it smashed into your windshield? Yeah, bad joke from Grade 3. What's worse is how bug guts and daily grime are hard to scrub off the windshield after days of being baked on in summer heat. An old tea towel from the rag bag was the "go-to" for cleaning the windshield but streaks and lint from it are more annoying than bug juice.

There are hundreds of finishing towels for sale but we compared the smoky grey Simoniz Platinum Series Glass Towels against the tea towel. It didn't take long for the fancy store-bought towels to prove a welcome feature to any cleaning kit.

Wringing out the Simoniz towels until they were barely damp made it so the water on the windshield evaporated almost immediately, leaving no streaks. Wringing out the rags made them bunch up. The Simoniz towels didn't lose their size, shape or mild scouring action.

And they looked and worked as good as new for the next job after going through the washing machine without streak-causing fabric softener.

As for the baked-on bugs. The joke's on me. They still need a soak and a scrub brush.
