Chris Evans, the new host of the wildly popular BBC show Top Gear, is selling 13 cars at the upcoming Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale in England with a total estimated value of $22 million.
Included in the list are six Ferraris, including a rare right-hand drive 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB/6C Alloy, which has an estimated sale price of $5.8 million. Also on the block is his famous 1936 Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica, which is expected to fetch $600,000. In 2012, Evans bought the same model used in the 1968 children's film and restored it complete with multi-coloured 'wings'.
Four of the Ferraris are expected to fetch more than $2 million each.
"Chris (Evans) has been a long-standing client of Bonhams, so we're delighted to offer his incredible motor cars," said Sholto Gilbertson, Bonhams director of motor cars, in a statement. "In refreshing his collection, others will have the opportunity to enjoy Chris' fantastic cars after all, you never 'own' a classic car, you enjoy it, look after it and pass it on for others to appreciate."
In addition to the cars, more than 140 lots of auto memorabilia owned by Evans will be offered with the proceeds being donated to the BBC charity, Children in Need.
During the same auction, 'Blue Lena', the 1965 Bentley Continental Flying Spur once owned by Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones will go under the hammer.
The auction will take place Sept. 12.
Evans is taking over the hosting gig after Jeremy Clarkson was fired in March for assaulting a producer. Former hosts James May and Richard Hammond also left the show.
All prices have been converted from Pounds to Canadian dollars using the top end of the estimate range provided by Bonhams.
