Japan June industrial production and inflation numbers, as well as jobless rate and retail sales.

Euro area releases second-quarter GDP, June jobless rate and July CPI. Germany June retail sales, France second-quarter GDP, France consumer spending and prices. Italy also releases its jobless rate and consumer prices.

European Banking Authority releases stress-test results for European banks.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada GDP for May. Consensus is for contraction of 0.5 per cent.

(830 a.m. ET) Canada industrial product price index and raw materials price index for June. They are expected to rise 0.1 per cent and 3.0 per cent, respectively.

(830 a.m. ET) U.S. GDP for the second quarter. It's expected to expand at a 2.6 per cent annual rate.
