Mega Brands said fourth-quarter 2011 consolidated net sales decreased 3 per cent to $108.5-million (U.S.) compared to $111.8-million in the corresponding 2010 period. Reported net earnings were $0.2-million compared to $11.3-million in the same 2010 period. Adjusted net earnings were $0.3-million or $0.02 per share compared to $11.5-million or $0.70 per share in the 2010 fourth quarter.



GMP Capital Inc. , which lost 1.6 per cent yesterday, today reported revenue of $72.7-million in fourth quarter 2011, representing a 53 per cent decrease compared with the same period a year ago primarily due to weaker performance in its capital markets segment amid ongoing challenging market conditions. Net income was $2.4-million ($0.02 per basic share) compared with net income of $46.0-million ($0.55 per basic share) in fourth quarter 2010, generating an annualized return on common shareholders' equity 2.3 per cent in fourth quarter 2011.



Endeavour Mining Corporation , which lost 7.5 per cent in falling away from near year highs yesterday, announced its results for the fourth quarter and year ended Dec. 31, 2011. In December, 2011 the merger between Endeavour and Adamus Resources Limited, which owns 90 per cent of the Nzema Gold Mine in Ghana, became effective. Adamus' results are included in Endeavour's financial results for the 26 day period from Dec. 6, 2011 to Dec. 31, 2011, which limits the comparability of the audited figures.



AlarmForce Industries Inc. said net income for the three months ended Jan. 31, 2012, decreased to $0.7-million, representing a 56 per cent decrease from the comparative period, mainly due to the impact on its results of an increase in marketing expenses.



New Dawn Mining Corp. said for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2011, consolidated net income was $2.3-million. Net income was $212,661 for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2010.

Inferred mineral resources increased to 873,400 ounces at 6.48 grams per tonne from 260,100 ounces at 6.23 grams per tonne in 2010, representing a 236 per cent increase in contained ounces year over year.





Shona Energy Company, Inc. today announced that it is delivering a total of 14.0-million cubic feet per day of natural gas into the Colombian gas market under two contracts. At this delivery rate, Shona is generating approximately $2-million (U.S.) per month of gross revenue, with the majority of the gas sales coming from Shona's Nelson field.





SelectCore Ltd. , a prepaid telecom and financial services provider and transaction processor for the under-banked consumer market, announced today that it has executed a significant government contract related to the Company's prepaid financial services business. The agreement has a three-year term with optional one-year term extensions.
