Canada's largest publicly traded software company, OpenText , has acquired Global 360 Holding Corp. of Dallas for $260-million (U.S.).

OpenText says the acquisition continues its expansion into business process management software.

Global 360 brings with it expertise in dynamic case management solutions.

OpenText is based in Waterloo, Ont., and is a leading supplier of software for large organizations.

It's considered a leader in enterprise content management software used to create, store and retrieve e-mail and other electronic documents.

Global 360's strength in case management solutions are expected to complement OpenText's business process management products.
