Into the woods
Jo Malone’s new scent signals autumn’s verdant vibe with its mix of floral (damask rose, green violet leaves) and spicy (cardamom, tonka bean) characteristics. Tory Burch’s take combines lily of the valley and cedar, while Nina Ricci mixes pink peppercorns and musk. Gucci Bamboo takes a tropical approach by incorporating orange blossom and Tahitian vanilla.

Down the garden path
In the idiosyncratic style of its fashion-designer counterpart, Alaïa Paris Eau de Parfum lists olfactory oddities like “iced vodka” in its fragrance notes. It’s part of a grouping of flowery cool-weather options that also includes peach-blossom-spiked Calvin Klein Eternity Now, freesia-laced Burberry My Burberry and gardenia-tinged Van Cleef & Arpels Gardénia Pétale.
