A new dawn

New York designer Wes Gordon doubled his effort to update classic knits this season by cropping the proportions of an ivory crewneck and pairing it with a woven bias-cut skirt.

The root of the matter

Long view

Elongated silhouettes like the hip-covering cuts employed by Michael Kors this fall offer bigger canvases for interesting degradé-dye details; this extra-lengthy sweater was layered over a maxi-dress in a lighter, gauzier fabric.
