LISTING AGENT Nutan Brown, Royal LePage West Realty Group Ltd.

The Action: In a fast-growing part of Oakville, this detached, three-storey house sits with half a dozen others bordering a large park. An offer came after just two showings conducted prior to planned weekend open houses.

What They Got: This roughly 12-year-old home bears little signs of aging, with open living and dining spaces with hardwood floors; a fireside great room; and a kitchen with tile floors, granite-topped peninsula, stainless steel appliances, and a walkout to a two-tiered cedar deck with garden beds and lattice fencing.

A family room is situated on the second floor by laundry facilities and two bedrooms, each with walk-in closets. The master solely occupies the third level with a pair of his-and-her closets and one of the largest of three bathrooms.

Storage is available in the unfinished basement and the double garage, which faces a lane behind the 24-foot by 97-foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It overlooks a park and that was the drawing feature for my client when he purchased it, because there's no neighbour across the street," says agent Nutan Brown.

"[Plus] what was really unique to me was the landscaping, and sometimes it doesn't get as much attention or value as it should. But in this case, a lot of people appreciated it because … it stood out quite a bit."

Compared with neighbouring townhouses and semi-detached homes, this one's size and interior style also won rave reviews. "This is probably one of the bigger models," says Ms. Brown. "And it was a beautiful space."
