LISTING AGENT Lillian Adamakis, Keller Williams Advantage Realty

The Action: This three-storey house in Riverdale was a popular spot for private showings and a busy public open house. Two competing offers were submitted, but the accepted proposal fell through. Back on the market, the property received rival bids again and one was finalized within days.

What They Got: This roughly century-old brick structure was previously used as a rooming house as it has seven bedrooms, four bathrooms – one on each level – and kitchens on the first and third floors.

There is a living room with a fireplace, a dining room and gym on the main floor, as well as a basement with a separate entrance.

Outside, the 31-by-100 foot grounds have fencing around the front and side yards, and a private driveway for five cars.

The Agent's Take: "It's a great, big detached house in a great location with a private drive, and that's rare in Riverdale," agent Lillian Adamakis says. "It's a great buy for someone who has the money and foresight to renovate and get exactly what they want."

While its placement at the corner of two residential streets did not offer enough privacy for some buyers, its proximity to amenities was a redeeming quality for others. "It's a fabulous location a block up to the Danforth and a couple blocks to schools," Ms. Adamakis adds.
