The Action: This semi-detached residence is just a block north of Bloor Street, so the lack of a parking spot didn't faze more than 40 potential buyers who booked private showings and large crowds that turned up at public open houses. Eight visitors returned with their best offer on the presentation date.
What They Got: Different owners updated this more than 90-year-old brick house, which now has formal living and dining rooms separated by the main staircase and an open kitchen and family room with stairs to the basement, a gas fireplace, skylights and French doors to a deck, stone patio and shed on the 16-by-155-foot lot.

The Agent's Take: "It had been well maintained and had lots of the original character intact," says agent Holly Chandler.
"It had a family-room addition off the back, which people really appreciate because you don't see that often with direct access to the backyard, and the dining room was quite special, too, because of the way it was separate from the kitchen."
The proximity to Bloor West shops, grocers and the subway station was also an asset. "It's in a sweet spot on that street," Ms. Chandler states. "It was the perfect distance away from things, not too close, not too far."
