A tourist walks inside Attalos Arcade in the ancient agora (market) in Athens September 3, 2013. WHY WE PICKED IT: Good timing on the subject just exiting the frame but it's the lighting that really makes the photo stand out. Creates nice shadows and patterns throughout the scene.
Dennis Page of Halifax sent us this image for our shadow assignment. The long shadow helps fill empty space in the image, making it more dynamic.
