Lace up your comfiest sneaks and go toe to toe with thousands of runners from B.C. and beyond at the 40th annual BMO Vancouver Marathon.
The race runs almost a complete lap of the city, so you can try to ignore your screaming lungs as you soak in scenic views in Queen Elizabeth Park, Pacific Spirit Park and UBC, then back along the West Side beaches and around Stanley Park. Or join the half marathon, which takes you from Queen Elizabeth Park through downtown and to Stanley Park.
Get winded going from the sofa to the fridge and back? Gather up some friends and cheer on the athletes and you could be in the running to win $5,000 bucks.
Then head for the Health, Sports and Lifestyle Expo at the Convention Centre, where the pros will help get you back on track.
