Mounties in Surrey, B.C., have arrested a suspect believed to be the man they dubbed the Surgical Mask Bandit.
Police say that between May 12 and June 15 there were 12 robberies reported where victims were robbed at automated banking machines by a masked man.
Victims said the man disguised his face with a surgical mask or a bandana that covered the lower half of his face.
Mounties are now recommending 36 criminal charges against 23-year-old Travis Jenson-Pickford, including robbery with a weapon and wearing a disguise with intent to rob.
Police say the all the robberies were similar and the suspect approached people while they were withdrawing cash.
Corporal Bert Paquet says the RCMP is pleased the suspect is in custody and that no one was hurt.
